Barely a minute seems to have passed since we last heard from Brisbane-born singer-songwriter Jarryd James. Now native to LA, Jarryd's collaborative effort with fellow Aussie Julia Stone, 'Regardless', has been stuck on repeat these past few days - and 'Sure Love' looks positively certain to follow (quickly) in its footsteps. A gentler listen than his muscular debut 'Do You Remember', and even more subtly sexed-up than the sweetly pulsing 'Regardless', 'Sure Love' is a proper R&B slow jam underpinned by Jarryd's ever-increasingly flexible vocal. - DC
